ETTU Opens Media Accreditation for 2026 European Individual Table Tennis Championships in Ljubljana

The European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) has officially opened its media accreditation portal for the 2026 European Individual Table Tennis Championships. The event will be held from 11 to 18 October 2026 at Arena Stožice in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is one of the most important milestones in European table tennis this year, not only because of the individual titles but also because of the points system leading to the 2027 European Games. The accreditation portal is now live on the ETTU website. Journalists, editors, photographers, commentators and technical staff who want to cover the event must complete their registration before 28 September 2026. According to the announcement, the organisers will not consider valid applications submitted after the deadline. The process is designed to guarantee security, verify user information and allocate working spaces for each media outlet. The mixed doubles final is expected to take place on Friday 16 October 2026. The men's and women's doubles finals are scheduled for Saturday 17 October 2026. The tournament will conclude with the men's and women's singles semi-finals and finals on Sunday 18 October 2026. With this schedule, media teams can allocate staff by round: the preliminary stage requires fewer reporters, while the final four days feature finals and semi-finals every day. The most striking element is not the schedule but the strategic value of the event. The ETTU said results in Ljubljana will count directly towards the European Mixed Team Ranking. This ranking is used to decide qualification for the mixed team event at the 2027 European Games, and it is also linked to the continental Olympic quota for that event.
